Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

I used this a few days ago, for the first time, after coloring my hair.
I’ve used it on three other people since.
I love it! I immediately could tell a difference.
My hair felt so much more soft and moisturized. It looked shinier and healthier. The other ladies I used it on loved it too!
I recommend trying this if you have dry or damaged hair.

You can buy it here for $23. It’s a big jar of it, and a very little bit goes a long way.

Definitely worth the money, it will last you a while and I’m sure you’ll like the results.

Feathers, feathers, feathers.

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: World of Fashion

Feathers are EVERYWHERE. Big and small, and all kinds of colors. On necklaces, clothes, earrings, and in hair.

More and more ladies are getting feather extensions, I see several a day.

I do hair, and a bunch of my friends are wearing and doing these. Next on the to-do list: learn how to do feather extensions. That’s where the money’s at these days!

I personally don’t have them, but I do, admittedly, own several different pairs of feather earrings.

Celebrities are wearing them. Young and old, people are wearing them.

Earrings;

Vanessa Hudgens wearing one large feather earring.
Handmade Peruvian earrings.

Really long feathers.

Colorful feathers on Lucy Hale.

Feathers with rhinestones and chains.

Necklaces;

Long, beige peacock feather necklace.

Short feather necklace.

Traditional peacock feather necklace.

And last, but not least, feather hair extensions;

Love this red hair with feather extensions.

Subtle feathers. Very pretty.

Not so subtle ;)

Peacock feathers!

Okay, you get the idea, feathers are in ladies!

Freak of Nature!

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

I am unfortunate enough to have very fine, very thin, very straight hair.

I am sure I’m not alone in this. Those of you who share this hair type are probably constantly looking for things to do and use to make your hair look less flat. Less straight. Less boring.

Well, I am too.

I tried Love, Peace, and the Planet (Tigi’s) Freak Of Nature.
It really works!

Obviously you can’t just put it in your hair and walk out the door, so this is what I did;

I put it in my hands (doesn’t take a lot, maybe the size of a quarter), ran it through my hair with my fingers, massaged it onto my scalp, and blow-dried.  I blow dry my hair upside down, it’s easier for me, and it adds more volume.

So that combined with the Freak of Nature = a lot of volume! Comparatively. Not to mention, it smells GREAT!

I love it, I’ve used it twice this week and I’ll continue to use it.

Buy it here for $14.95.  Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.

Pin-up!

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: World of Fashion

Everyone seems to be falling in love with the pin-up/40′s style. I have loved it for quite a while myself.
The clothes, the shoes, the hair, and the makeup is so glamorous and sexy.
Not too difficult to pull off, either!
If I can do it, you can! ;)

The clothes;
Polka dots, Animal prints, Sailor, etc.
Most of the dresses/shorts are really short, and usually really tight.
Katy Perry rocks the look quite often.

Here are some cute examples.

Now the shoes;
High heels, cute prints, bows, and bright colors.

Hair;
Victory rolls, curls, bangs, and big flowers.
The bigger the flower, the better.

Makeup;
Dark, thick eyeliner with a wing, dramatic lashes, red lipstick, and a fake mole is optional.

So whether you’re just having fun, want to try something new, doing a photo shoot, or in a wedding, this look is so fun!
Love it!

Grassroots Sweeping Success

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

I love exfoliators. I love how they make your skin feel new.
(Because that’s what they’re intended to do).
Sweeping Success

I tried this face buffer by Grassroots and fell in love on the first try.
I followed the directions exaclty, and it worked.
My skin felt SO soft instantly.
I proceeded to make everyone I know try mine at least once.
Okay, only once, I didn’t want to share TOO much. ;)

A lot of people will exfoliate many times a week, but that’s not how you should do it.
They’re really only meant to be used once or twice a week. That’s what this Sweeping Success recommends also. Exfoliators are too harsh to be used like daily face washes. I learned this by trial and error a while ago. :)

Smartskincare.com says this about it ;
“Except for people with extremely oily skin, daily exfoliation is not a good idea. Your goal is to remove the dead cells from the skin surface. It takes at least a few days for a sizeable amount of dead cells to accumulate. If you exfoliate more often than that, you may be removing too many living cells, increasing the chance of irritation and skin damage. ”

So, my advice to you; by this face buffer, follow the instructions, use it twice a week.

Click here and you can buy it from Happywayfashion.com. It’s only $9.50 and totally worth it. Trust me.

Boots!

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: World of Fashion

I love boots.

Brown, black, gray. Straps, buckles, suede.

Boots are popular this time of year! ;)

They look good with leggings, skinny jeans,  regular jeans, skirts, shorts….

Everything.

I prefer the suede

Those are kind of insane, but I like them for some reason.

Love these.

I almost bought some exactly like this the other day.

.
You can get these and more at Happywayfashion.com !

Bare Eyes

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

If you’re like me, and don’t always want to completely wash your face to take your makeup off

(although you should, I should! ), then you definitely should invest in eye makeup remover.

Bare Escentuals usually makes pretty natural products. This one isn’t really, so if you’re looking for that it might not be the best for you.

BUT, it does really work!

It’s not as oily as most eye makeup removers are either.

Not too expensive either.

I like it. Try it!

Halloween Costumes

High-waisted skirts

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

I recently went to a funeral, and I was not looking for fashion trends there, but I noticed at least 8 girls wearing high waisted skirts.

I’ve seen them elsewhere too, all over Atlanta.

Here are some favorites.

I really like the second one. The high-waisted skirt with the tights looks so good.

It’s getting pretty cold too, so that’s actually doable! :)

2009 Mtv VMAs.

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Celebrities Corner

There is always something crazy that happens at the VMAs, most of the time having to do with Kanye West.
But let’s not get into that. ;)

One thing that’s always fun about the show is seeing what the celebrities are wearing.
There’s always a trend, and occasionally the accidental matching of two celebs.

This year there was a LOT of little black dresses, and a lot of silver.

The little black dress is a classic, and every girl wears one at some point, and every girl should.
There were good and bad.

Kara DioGuardi looked gorgeous, Lauren Bosworth looked classy, and Amanda Bynes looked cute.
Not a fan of Solange Knowles’, Nelly Furtado’s, or Nicky Hilton’s dresses though.
Nicky Hilton looks a bit like a dominatrix.

The silver dresses were a lot more fun, and bold.

Leighton Meester looked gorgeous, Kristin Cavallari looked great, Alicia Keys looked stunning as usual, and Taylor Swift looked beautiful.
Usually, I love Katy Perry’s choices, but this was not a good one.
Poor Shakira and Pink wore the same dress. I love the dress, but it looks better on Shakira.

Love award shows!

Frisky!

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

If you’re like me, and get bored of straight hair, then you probably enjoy trying products like this.

I personally like the messy scrunched look, and Catwalk’s Frisky does it.

If you’re looking for curls, well, it doesn’t really do that… maybe curl in first? ;)

It does make your hair wavy though!

The fact that it smells pretty good doesn’t hurt, either.

I like it!

You can buy it here…

Try it out!

Eyeshadow primers.

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

They will change your life.

Well, at least the way you feel about doing your makeup…

I don’t think we have any on the Happy Way Fashion website yet,                                                                        but you can find them at beauty stores and department store, until we get some! ;)

This stuff is amazing, I tell you. I didn’t used to really wear makeup to work, because makeup NEVER stayed on my eyes. Now, I wear eyeshadow, because it stays. All. Day.                                                            Not to mention, it makes the eyeshadow colors much brighter!

I use Urban Decay’s, but pretty much every makeup line has it.

So all you ladies should definitely invest in some primer!

Bumble & Bumble…

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

Extra Strength Holding Spray definitely holds!

The first time I used it this is what I did…

Made my hair look insane/wavy, sprayed it with the holding spray, put it in a ponytail, and went to work.

When I came home 7 hours later and took my hair down, it looked just as insane.

It didn’t flatten out or anything, it was still ridiculously curly.

I love this stuff. It works.

Just make sure you don’t spray too much in one spot, or there will be white stuff in your hair.

(Someone is special, and didn’t think about this. ;) )

You can buy it at www.happywayfashion.com, as well as tons of other Bumble & Bumble products!

Betsey Johnson!

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: World of Fashion

She’s definitely one of my favorite designers, if not my favorite. She’s unique and funky.

(In case you haven’t noticed, I do like “unique” clothing and accessories.)

She has awesome clothes, bags, shoes jewelry, and even perfumes (that you can purchase on www.happywayfashion.com).

You can find her stuff in malls and boutiques, or online. Celebrities love her. We love her.

She uses a lot of different patters in her clothing, you won’t find anything boring in her line.

It’s all very girly, too!  :)

Here are a couple things that are currently on her website that I love/want.

Katy Perry

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Celebrities Corner

Katy Perry definitely has a very retro style.

Some of her fashion choices remind me of Lady Gaga.

Katy’s got a much more classic, girl-next-door look though.

But provocative and sexy at the same time.

I think she is the reason hot pants are back.

(I’m a fan of those. Might write about them later!)

She likes those bangles apparently! :)

Retro swimsuit!

She’s gorgeous! Travis McCoy is a lucky man. ;)

Bangles

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: World of Fashion

I love Bangles. They are fun. They are en vogue. You see them everywhere now. For a girl it is absolute fun and you can really get creative with them maybe to match a colorful dress, earrings, handbag or anything you can think of.
If you’re a female that doesn’t own any, I suggest going to the mall and buying some! :)

I think bangles are timeless. ;)

The celebs are rockin the red lipstick!

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

Everyone’s wearing bright red lipstick now.

Some can pull it off, some can’t. I’ll post some pictures, you can decide.

I personally love the pale skin/dark hair/red lipstick combo, but it’s not for everyone I suppose.

I’m not brave enough to wear it very often at all.

But there is something about red lipstick that instantly makes a girl feel pretty!

I should give it a try more often… maybe.

Long, flowy dresses!

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: World of Fashion

I haven’t gotten a chance to go downtown Atlanta and take pictures of hot outfits, that will be next time hopefully! ;)

However, I’ve gone shopping a couple times in the past few days, and seen a LOT of long, flowy dresses and skirts. On women, and on the racks!

So, I looked at a few Atlanta Boutiques online, and found some.

These are from Fab’rik.

Giovanni Natural Mousse

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: Health & Beauty

I just got the Giovanni Natural Mouse Air-Turbo Charged. Giovanni is an organic brand, so this mousse is almost all natural! Not only does it smell really good, but a little really does go a long way.

It actually holds, too.

You can get it at Target, Walmart, and most other drugstores.

It’s only about 8 dollars.

Summer & Swimsuits Finally!

Posted by: jesskuh | Posted in: World of Fashion

It’s swimsuit time! One of the big trends in 2009 Swimwear is bold, bright, and/or retro patterns! And of course animal print!

Monokinis became very popular last summer in 2008, but I think we’re going to see even more of them this year!

I love the retro patterns.
Time to go shopping for a new one! :)
